Investment fund or venture capital fund
Transfer funds exceeding €500,000 to acquire units in eligible investment funds or venture capital funds.
Research activities
Transfer funds exceeding €500,000 to support research activities at public or private institutions in Portugal.
Cultural heritage contribution
Transfer funds exceeding €250,000 for the preservation, maintenance, or restoration of national heritage sites.
Capitalization of SMEs
Transfer funds exceeding €500,000 to capitalize small and medium-sized enterprises in Portugal.
Business investment and job creation
Make a financial investment of over €1 million into a business or company before applying and create a minimum of 10 permanent jobs.
Government securities and bonds
Previously allowed investments exceeding €1 million in government securities and bonds (discontinued).
Real estate investment
No longer permitted under the Golden Visa program.
